Embossing creates a raised design on a piece of paper. You can transfer the design by rubbing a stylus tool over paper placed on an embossing plate or by putting the paper in an embossing folder and running it through a special machine, such as the Cuttlebug by Provo Craft. A2 embossing folders are 4.5-by-5.5 inches and can be used for greeting...
M/F Place your Cuttlebug on a hard, flat surface and press down the flaps in the front and back to suction the machine to your work surface.
M/F Place the Cuttlebug A-plate at the opening of the machine on the front flap.
M/F Place your card stock inside the A2 embossing folder, lining up the paper so that the embossed design will appear where you want it to. Place the card stock and embossing folder sandwich on top of the B-plate.
M/F Place your second B-plate on top of the whole sandwich.
M/F Gently push the sandwich into the machine and start cranking the Cuttlebug's handle until the machine grips the stack.
M/F Crank the handle until the sandwich passes all the way through the machine. Remove the sandwich from the machine and remove your card stock from inside the embossing folder.
